Jebaited Twitch Emote Meaning

The Jebaited emote is represented by the image of Alex Jebailey, CEO of Community Effort Orlando, looking up with a goofy smile.

The Jebaited emote is used, mostly, when a Twitch streamer believes something his viewers tell him and it turns out to be a lie or a joke. For example, if the streamer is solving a riddle or playing an adventure game and is sent back and forth to check things that have nothing to do with it.

The Jebaited emote is similar to Rick-Roll's case, where people would send a supposedly interesting link to a friend who ended up watching Rick Astley's video "Never Gonna Give You Up" (1987):

In September 2016, the Jebaited emote was added to Twitch. Alex Jebailey's smiling face, while looking at the sky, has appeared frequently on many channels of the streaming platform.

On September 23rd, 2016, the meme "Now We Jebaited" started, the Jebaited emote was posted next to the following messages: ''Kappa outdated - Pogchamp overrated - Long have we waited - Now we Jebaited''.

A lot of streamers have suffered from the Jebaited emote and term, they are content creators as well known as TimTheTatman,Summit1gandxQc.

The pronunciation of the Jebaited emote is as simple as: “Jebait-ed”.

Conclusion

Everytime a chat pranks a streamer and he believes it, he gets Jebaited. Both, the term and the Jebaited emote are used when the streamer is tricked into an obvious joke by his viewers.
