1 Get more viewers as a streamer on Trovo

It doesn't really matter which streaming platform you choose - in the beginning, at least if you don't have any notoriety on the internet yet, you'll realize pretty quickly that it's not that easy to get new viewers. The market is gigantic and every day new creators come along who are trying to do exactly the same thing as you. That's not meant to sound demotivating - it's simply the reality, which I'm sure you were already aware of one way or another before you clicked on this article. So what can you do to become more popular and attract new viewers to your Trovo stream?

Basically, of course, there's no magic formula along the lines of "this is how you get 20 new viewers a day on Trovo" - but nevertheless, the truth is that there are some important things that anyone can do to maximize your presence and increase the chances of getting new viewers. We do have some good news for you, though: Since you've obviously chosen Trovo as your streaming platform, you have a big advantage over other streamers on Twitch, Facebook & YouTube: The danger of getting lost in the crowd is not as huge as on other portals! Trovo is still a fairly young project, which means that there are nowhere near as many users as on Twitch & Co. This is the best prerequisite for you to get started on Trovo and make a name for yourself relatively quickly.

In the following chapters, we would like to introduce you to a few proven methods that could ensure that you get new viewers on Trovo. But always keep in mind: We can't guarantee success - even if you strictly follow these little "rules".

2 This is how you manage to grow as a streamer on Trovo

Now let's introduce you to the ways you can use to generate more attention on Trovo and thus ensure that more viewers visit your livestream or channel.

2. 1 Points with activity on the platform

This method is actually the classic one - it's understood by everyone, but not followed by everyone. We're talking about being active here, of course! Every day, every hour, every second that you're not streaming, you're not going to be found on Trovo pretty much at all. Of course, that's not to say that we're frantically trying to tell you to stream day and night - quite the opposite, in fact: a healthy balance between offline and online actually makes for more regular viewers. However, if you want to get more viewers on Trovo, it's of enormous importance that a certain flow settles in and you hold your livestreams at regular intervals.

It doesn't matter if you stream once a week or four times a week. The only thing that matters is THAT you do it - and do it regularly. If you start your Creator career by streaming 20 times in a month, then wonder why hardly anyone tunes in, and after the initial euphoria you only go online 20 times a year, it's clear that it's not going to work out.

For this reason, we recommend that you plan your streams, set up fixed stream times, and stick to them. You could start by scheduling one stream a week on a fixed day at a fixed time. That way, you're continuously on Trovo as a creator and you're always targeting a specific audience - the people who are regularly on Trovo at the time you choose. For example, during the week after work or on Saturday mornings.

2.2 Set up a YouTube channel

It's no secret that many Twitch streamers first became known for producing regular and good content on the VoD platform YouTube. What is merely a second leg for some full-time streamers is a stepping stone for many newbies. In most cases, however, the streaming platform and YouTube go hand in hand, so that both channels fuel and benefit from each other. But what kind of content can you upload to YouTube? Well, that depends entirely on what you're doing in your livestreams. If you play video games in your livestreams and upload various DIY or cooking videos to your YouTube channel, you'll quickly realize that you're addressing two completely different target groups here.

Thematically, your channels on both platforms should at least be similar. Let's stay with playing video games. Do you play a certain story game in your livestream? Then it makes sense to record the individual sessions and publish them as Let's Plays on YouTube! This way you don't have to do much extra work and you kill two birds with one stone. You're reaching an audience on YouTube that's looking for gameplay on the game, and you're still live on Trovo on a regular basis.

2.3 Social Media Activity

Yes, it may sound pretty tedious to many, but in this day and age, social media is still the best way to "promote" yourself, your products, and your content. Without social media marketing, it's unlikely that any successful creator will have any trouble getting new viewers. Whether it's Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram - try to link your social media channels in your Trovo bio and independently draw attention to them regularly on your streams on Instagram and Co.

Whether you use your private social media accounts for this purpose or create new ones specifically for your career as a streamer is entirely up to you. However, you should keep in mind that many viewers like to learn more about the person in front of the camera. So they watch the channels and if they find out that there is nothing personal to discover, their interest dwindles. This can happen - but it doesn't have to. If you don't want to reveal any private photos or details about yourself, that's perfectly fine, and your right. Furthermore, it remains to be said that social media is part of every successful streaming channel. Activity and presentation play a big role here as well.

You could try to pick up the design of your livestream on your social media accounts or present themed content to your followers to keep them engaged. For the necessary regularity, you could, for example, announce your stream times in stories or posts. That way, you'll always have something going on, and in turn, you might even manage to attract new viewers to your Trovo livestream.

2.4 Word of mouth

This method only makes sense when you have already built up a certain number of followers, but once it gets rolling, it is almost unstoppable. We're talking about the good old word of mouth, of course! If your viewers like your livestream, many of them will share it with their friends and acquaintances who also like to watch streams. This creates a so-called snowball effect, which in the best case can even trigger an avalanche. It's not you who does the advertising, but your loyal community.

So if you already have a few viewers in your Trovo livestream, you can always point out that they can share and spread your livestream and that you would always be happy about growth in the community. Of course, this should not happen 10 times in the stream, but rather sporadically and when the situation allows it. Try to develop a sense for such statements overtime here.

3 Conclusion

Unfortunately, there is no miracle rule for quickly becoming successful on Trovo. All we can advise you is to use these methods and wait. Because as so often in life, one thing is especially important in this topic: be patient. You'll only become a Trovo star with 200 viewers overnight if you're extremely lucky. Your career as a creator will have many ups and downs and you will probably experience months in which you can't gain any new viewers for weeks. But that's not a problem at all if you keep your eye on the ball and always stay yourself.
